"Every year on 4/20, students and residents gather on Farrand Field at CU Boulder to defy the authorities and smoke marijuana publicly. This year, the University of Boulder Police Department fought back by taking pictures of as many participants as possible. They have a website with photos up, offering an $50 reward to anyone who positively identifies someone who was photographed. Nothing about what the authorities plan to do with the information is posted. Scary."

I regularly participate in 4:20 celebrations and I've had a bit of paranoia about cameras and stuff... I never even imagined something like that no matter how stoned I was though.

The sad thing is, it probably isn't, and by identified they means that the cops were granted warrant on the terms of these photos, and that searches produced evidence that put these guys behind bars.

My friend just phoned them to complain and asked about how many signs were on the fence and they're saying 40... Then they hung up when we asked more questions and phoned us back. He told us to call administration on monday morning: (303) 492-8168 - Which is actually the number for patrol and investigation. Administration is at - (303) 492-7311 .
