 How about an official smiley request thread?

I know that there is already an official smiley submission thread, but I thought that perhaps a thread where people could request smileys might be an asset to the site.
It would keep this forum a little more tidy
It would enable people who make smileys themselves to quickly find out what smileys people on the board actually want
It would allow mods and admins to quickly identify smileys that people on the the site would actually be used (as so many smileys are submitted, and it must be hard to choose which ones would be of most benefit to the BB)
It would serve a definite purpose, as requesting someone to make or find a smiley with their own time is quite different from submitting a number of smileys that you yourself think would be an asset to the site
what does everyone think?

I don't see why not. Though this type of thread wouldn't really fit in well here in WA&F, as you are soliciting graphic artists for an independent service with no guarantee that their work will be implemented into the website.. therefore, if such a thread were to be created, I would suggest it be placed in our Media, Arts, & Literature forum, where graphic artists would be most likely to visit and view the requests.

Except there's no "Media, Arts, & Literature forum". It's such a low ho forum that not even geo knows it's proper name. Keep it here where people might actually contribute

Media / Music.. I did realize my error yesterday (and in fact have made this error twice in the last week), but didn't bother to edit my posts since I'm sure anyone with half a brain could've figured out what I meant 
As for the traffic issue, MA&L has approximately the same number of active "viewing" users at any given time, and in fact has more posts than WA&F. So when you consider that both forums are on a relatively level playing field in terms of exposure, I don't know why you think a topic better suited for the other forum, should be placed here?
