dried shrooms gone bad?

Kind of a newbie when it comes to shrooms, so i figured i would consult some experts. I got some dried shrooms a little over a month ago and forgot about them until now. I noticed the caps are a brownish-orange and the edges are starting to curl in. Some of the caps are varying shades of black also. The stems are still nice and white with some blue tinges. I am just wondering if these caps would have gone bad in the month I sat on them. Any advice would be appreciated as i am planning on tripping tonight if the shrooms arent contaminated.

Usually well dried mushies will last quite a while... were these a bit fresh when they were picked up?
In any case, I wouldn't advise consuming the caps. The stems, on the otherhand, are just most likely bruised (blue).

Maybe it's from spores.

Dried mushrooms will not contaminate as long as they stay dry. If you have any doubts, simply boil into tea. The boiling water will kill off any live organisms. RR
