 speed leaching poo!

ok ive managed to cook up a way to leach poo FAST!
its cheap and easy.
you need:
- poo
- a 5 or 10 gallon bucket
- a drill
- a 3/16 in drill bit
- a 1/4 in drill bit
- turn the bucket upside down
- use the 3/16 in drill bit and make a bunch of holes on the bottom of the bucket (take your time and make em even)
- use the 1/4 in drill bit and make a few holes on the side of the bucket, at the bottom.
- put the poo in
- put the bucket in your bathtub (dont let your wife see!)
- turn on the water, and get it just right so that the amount of water going into the bucket is the same as the amount of water coming out of the holes in teh bottom
- let it run for a few hours

speed leachin in action! (very little sediment is left in the tub)
addtl notes:

- drill bit size isnt important, just as long as its not too big.
- after you leach, letting it drain for a few hours is a good idea
- agitate once in a while to get the poo mixed up and to push out some more doody water.
- letting poo leach for a month in the sun and rain is a better method, but this will get ya there quickly!
- if you put the poo out to dry, get a water can and mix a few tablespoons of bloodmeal in there. pour that over the poo and let it dry. that extra nitrogen should be like mushie steroids!
this works AWESOME! i had totally clean water coming out of the bottom of this bucket within 30 minutes, and it smelled like grain. no ammonia at all! after this, just lay it out and let it dry, or pasteurize it (id recommend you let it dry first).

Thats a great idea. lol crank the water heater temp and you could pasteurize (if it gets that high) like that too.

Use a big ice chest. It'll hold more poo then the bucket and you won't run up the gas/electric bill from using all that hot water.

i just finished doing this for the second half of the poo i had. i let it run for 30 min, but it still smelled ammonia-ish, so it may take more time...
