Every so often i will get really painfull shooting heart pains , when this happens i try not to breath very much because it makes it even more painfull , it makes it extemely painfull actually ,as if my heart is going to explode. I'm not old or anything i'm only 18 .
What could this be? , it feels really fucked up when it happens. Thanks.

I would go to the doctor's office rather than consulting the medical experts here at the Shroomery.

you might wanna get yourself checked out.
old friend of mine back in high school had to do a checkup so he could sign up for a tennis tournament. they found a hole in his heart.... seriously. but it wasnt big enough to cause any problems so they let him play. but the doctors did warn him that any day at any time the hole could get bigger and he might die from it and theres nothing they could do about it....
im not saying thats what you have. my friend didnt have pain or anything. im just sayin its good sometimes to get checked out and know whats goin on with your body.

I've got an appointment with the doctor on Thursday(if i don't die before that ) , so hopefully its nothing serious.
Thats pretty crazy that your friend found out he had a hole in his heart. It would be weird the doc saying "sorry son, but you have a hole in your heart"

definitely consult with a physician but my 1st amateur prognosis based on the pathetically small amount of data you provided is a condition known as angina pectoris.

My friend had something called "pericarditis" (sp?). The lining of his heart cavity was inflamed and it would hurt very bad. They gave him some medication and it went away. He was 20 years old when it happened.

could be angina, lung infection, heart burn, or even an anxiety attack, any time you have chest pains, consult a doctor

Its not heart pains. Its Pleurisy.

It can be fatal. Most suffer from mild instances occasionally through life. Persistent and unabated bouts should be treated with extreme caution. Can kill. See a doctor if it conitunues.

Well I can't tell you what it is, but if the pain is coming from your heart region then you're probably fine actually. Pain associated with heart problems come from the center of the chest and are usually not share or shooting, instead they're a dull sort of squeeze feeling. If this is a sharp pain that becomes very intense when you breath deep it is actually a common thing that, I in fact have it every now and then, and is perfectly healthy. EDIT: This pain only lasts around 30 seconds to a minute and it feels like it's under your left ribs. Once it goes away the pain is almost completely gone and if you breathe shallow it tends not to hurt at all. Just don't be running while it happens!
Go to your Doctor anyway. You'll be fine, but I won't be the jerk saying "He's FINE!" when you're writhing on the ground, turning blue and clutching your chest.

Seems to me if pneumonia were the culprit and it had progressed to the point of perceived heart and lung pains then he would have quite possibly been dead or hospitalized.
Also I never ruled out lung infections, read the causes my friend.
I also advised him to see a doctor if it persists. I believe it is what I stated. Read a little on the condition, Pleurisy is a symptom not an actual ailment. Chill out.
