Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd.
Even though the dead was only a presence in the late 60's I still like them..
Beatles would have been the third.

The Doors, my favorite band of all time. They managed to make interesting psychedelia without succumbing to the "hippy" image which was so popular at the time.
