'Echoes' is an absolutely amazing radio program on select public radio stations throughout the country. Although WA public radio doesn't seem to have as extensive a broadcast schedule as I'm used to, I have been listening online lately to some stations that have more comprehensive coverage.
If you like a wide variety of cultural, ambient and psychedelic music, navigate over to http://www.xpn.org/listen.php and listen live.
This station has the show on Mon-Fri at 8PM PST time or 11PM EST.
It is 2 hrs of soul squeezing bliss. I promise that you won't be disappointed.
To listen over the airwaves, go to http://www.echoes.org/stattime.html to find a local radio station

Glad to hear it!
I'm sure if other people gave it a shot they'd be into it as well. It's definitely not something that you might expect to be on Public Radio.
If you checked it out once and weren't very into it, try it again as selections can be extremely varied hour-to-hour and night-to-night. The first night I listened included about 45 minutes straight of the most deep and transfixing music that can only be described as "spacey". I was driving in the middle of the night with my ex-hippie dad and we were both entirely transfixed. (both obviously mentally reliving past psychedelic experiences and revelations)

yeah, i just discovered that show a few weekends ago. It's on the classical music station on saturday nights down here. I love listening to it when I'm laying down to sleep. If you like bands like Godspeed You Black Emperor then it's highly recommended
