3 nights ago I attempted suicide. Obviously...things didn't work out like i had planned. I swallowed 2 bottles of pills(sleeping pills, and pain killers). The only thing that went wrong in this plan was that I was planning to take a 3rd bottle of tranquilizers 20 minutes after the second bottle. I fuckin fell asleep!!!! Then I woke up(with bad headache and stomach pains) for 2 days I felt like shit. I wasn't scared or nervous I should say, to go until I woke up feeling like this. I just wanted an ending, not an intermission. But to tell you the truth I'm glad I didn't die...I (for now) have a meaning in my life and for the first time in years I feel good. We'll see how long that lasts. My opinion on suicide is it really is YOUR choice, and no one else's. I can see this is a very effective way, if completely done. Fuck what other people say about it, if you want to go, then do it...but do it right the first time

I learned in my psychology class that barbituates and alcohol are an especially deadly mixture. So I was thinking that if you got really drunk and took a bottle or two of Phenobarbital that you would probably go to sleep and never wake up. What do you guys think?

ive had a change of heart after reading scott nearings story. suicide by starvation. now you might look at me and call me crazy, but i thought about it long and hard, and i decided, wheres the adventure in seeking death painlessly and quickly? it almost seems cowardly to me now after reading this mans way out. this is the way ive decided i want to go.

If you can get ahold of a gas mask and helium... 100% painless. I would've done it a long time ago... but I don't have a car. I guess it's a good thing, cuz I'm pretty ok with most of my life right now.

The easiest way to go is without alot of opiates and benzos. Heroin OD plus enough vallium to knock you out. Drinking would help to suppress breathing, and some pot would help you keep from puking the benzos. You fall asleep and suffocate, quickly and painlessly. This is the only way ive seriously thought about.

yeah but wouldn't an opiate OD make you feel really sick? Cause a few pages ago someone said they saw a kid in the hospital who'd OD on pain killers and it took him three days to die and they couldn't give him anything for the pain. And he had a toxic liver, Bleeding out, and vomiting bile.

Thats because of the APAP in painkillers. Pure opiates would be painless. Thats why i suggested heroin

really thats how i overdosed...on the tylenol. it wasnt an intended overdose and really, its not all that bad. it does take a few days to kill you though. i had been taking ccc's (coricidin cough and cold) and i took a different kind of coricidin... the maxium flu i believe. each of those pills contained 500mgs of tylenol in them...i took 24 pills which would be 12,000mgs of tylenol. all at once. for three days all i could do was sleep and puke. couldnt eat, couldnt move, just sleep(best sleep ever by the way) and puke. it wasn't painful at all.
i went to the hospital on the third night and they said if i hadnt gone that night i would have died in my sleep. they told me they werent sure if i was even going to live in the hospital. but i made it. at the time i was very fortunate and happy that i made it alive... now i wish that i hadn't. but really, its not all that bad.
i would like to kill myself like that or perhaps just throwing myself in front of a train... i dont remember if thats been mentioned or not, although i have read the entire thread.
any other suggestions of how to kill yourself? im not necesarrily concerned about it being painless, just quick really.
