How do you wake up from a dream? What do you do when you wake up?
I am curious!
If you cannot recall [How] waking up, do you think you can, maybe one day? If you think you cannot ever know, .. why?
Etc..
And so on

I feel my dream begin to become more vague, I suppose I sense the physical world before I even open my eyes to it. Or perhaps my eyes are part way open which is a way Ive been known to sleep, and my mind slowly begin readjusting to the physical world as it fades the dream out.
When I am suddenly snapped out of a dream which occasionally happens, I can be quite irate, depending what kind dream it is. There have also been times where Ive had a really emotional dream, and I dont think I can cry/scream loud enough in it, an eventually I break through into my real voice and I feel that change and that wakes me up.
goodness, dreams and sleeping and their effect on the physical world are very interesting to explore. Great post! and very timely for me.

I am never in the middle of a dream when I wake up that I know of. It always seems like it's over and then I'm just awake after it's already passed.

"How do you wake up from a dream?"
you mean a literal sleeping dream? i kind of force my body to move. its inexplicable but in the dream i will focus really hard on say jerking my arm. then when my physical body moves i am jolted out of the dream. i usually do this when the dream is getting scary and i always kick myself after because that is the cowards way out and since i had to know i was dreaming in order to make myself wake up, i could have just as easily flown away or willed the monster or whatever out of existance (lucid dreaming = control of dream)
"What do you do when you wake up?"
breakfast, wash face, green tea, if i have time, stretch and meditate, then work.
OR if you mean the metaphorical dream of reality
how do you wake up?
raise your energy levels through positive choices (abstinence from bad foods, meats, sugars, junk, television, excessive drug use), control your mind and banish negative thought patterns (fear, guilt, obsession, regret, envy etc), complement that with a routine of meditation, lucid dreaming, prayer and awareness.
You wake up by degrees this way, from your own self created dream and into a dream created by god, which is much more pleasant and meaningfull.
Oh yeah and LET GO, SURRENDER.
"what do you do when you wake up"
you continue to live, but you live more joyously, with more clarity of awareness, with a more calm , centerd mind, unmoved by low energy dramas, drifting freely and loving more. Being aware of the patterns unfolding in your life and following the ones that lead to greater awareness and love.

Thats a good question. I mean.. most of the time for me its just when my body has gotten enough rest and it cant sleep anymore, or since im at college now, in the morning when my roomate makes a noise.
I been having awsome dreams these days. There is nothing more awsome then a dream. Waking up from an awsome dream. The other day I dreamt I fell in love with this chick, and it was the wierdest thing. By the end of the dream we were floating on a raft offside a city shoreline.
I never awake accourding to dreams, I awake when my body wants.
That is unless its a nightmare. To tell you the truth I love nightmares. I am one for being scared. How often do you get to have a rush so intense, like waking up from a nightmare. I once woke up from a horrible nightmare in highschool. It was one of those kinds where you wake up and your still dreaming. Maybe it was a night terror

I very seldom wake up during a dream. I also very seldom remember having dreams. I wake up very quickly, usually about 30 minutes to an hour before sunrise. I never use an alarm clock, and have not for the last ten years (or more). As soon as I wake, I immediately get out of bed, go to the bathroom, wash my face, stretch for a few minutes, and then sit in meditation for twenty minutes or so. After that, it is a quick shower, get dressed, and head to work. The sun is usually just starting to rise as I head out and I often get to drive into work watching a beautiful sunrise. I do not alter my waking habits during the weekends... (in other words, I don't sleep in when I don't have to get up... I get up early regardless...)
