french toast variations?
    #5043093 - 12/10/05 07:06 AM (3 years, 30 days ago)

just wondering how you get down.. here's how I make my french toast:

2 slices of 7, 9 or 12 grain bread
3 eggs
1 cap of vanilla extract
few shakes of cinnamon
tsp of sugar
2 tbsp of milk / cream / half&half
few pinches of parsley flakes
pinch of salt

then ya just soak it and cook it. ?

Try my Moms Amaretto French Toast. Holy fucking shit. I could live on this for the rest of my life.

4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp nutmeg, too.
1 tbsp amaretto

make like regular french toast. my old g/f makes it different, w/ more amaretto, like, 1/4 cup and some pancake batter to thicken.

nothin wrong with it, but that would make an otherwise inexpensive meal expensive.

My friend went to a Wolfgang Puck restaurant once. They had french toast but it was made with a bagel. They also had crushed up cornflakes in the egg mixture.

This time of year, I like to make french toast with egg nog & add an extra egg. Also, the best bread is pane al latte. (White milk bread).
