 Most Amazing First Time Trip

I just got back from Amsterdam where i tried mushrooms for the first time and luckily it was a really great trip. My brother and 2 friends had gone there for 4 days, so i got the mushrooms on the last day so i was more familiar with my setting.
So 12:00 in the afternoon i went to the smart shop that was just around the corner from are hostel and bought 35g of fresh Columbian cubensis mushrooms. I took them up too our room and started munching them down but my brother and my friend were trying to stop me taking them, telling me i was stupid for taking them and i should start with a lower dose. They tried to get them off me so i quickly shoved them all in my mouth chewed them up and washed them down with orange juice. Nearly an hour had passed and i didn't think much was going to happen but then i saw a couple of blue blobs moving across the carpet, about 10 minutes after this i started to see embossed patterns forming on the carpet that were constantly moving and changing. The carpet looked like it was flowing around.
The four of us then went out to a coffee shop and there was this room upstairs we went in too, where there was no one else, just us. I got my ipod out then and put on some music. I started with Metallica - Master Of Puppets which was a song i told myself i would not listen to whilst tripping cause it really has the potential to start a bad trip, but i just wanted the trip to get going a bit more so i didn't care about that. I then started to feel really selfish i had taken the shrooms cause i knew my friends felt like they had to look after me cause I'd taken the shrooms. But i knew what i was getting myself in to and although they didn't think so, i had no problem handling the trip by myself. I was just keeping my thoughts to myself then and trying not to act too strange so they didn't feel like they had to look after me, this made me feel less selfish and i tried to forget about it then.
The music sounded massive and there were so many dimensions to it, it sounded like it was inside me and all around me, it really sounded awesome. I then put on (Metallica -Nothing Else Matters) which i thought was a nice happy song but it seemed really creepy and evil which was pretty cool but i didn't want a bad trip so i changed the music then.
This was the best part of my trip next, i put on some other music (Avril Lavigne) and just felt pure Love, i closed my eyes and everything was red and flowing around like blood, it was total euphoria. I have never tried E but i really can't imagine an experience any better than this. I then had a moment where i evaluated my life and everything just seemed right, and i knew all the recent decisions i had made with my life were right.
We then left the coffee shop to go to a cake shop, but there were so many thoughts going through my head walking round the busy streets of Amsterdam so i got my ipod out again. I felt like everyone was watching me and there were quite a few dodgy people down the back alleys and i felt really paranoid they were going to mug me for my ipod so i put it away again, and we got to the cake shop. I waited in the shop whilst my friends ate their food, i didn't have any cause i just didn't feel hungry. there were pigeons walking round the shop floor as well cause they had left the front door to the shop open, then one flew past my head which really shocked me and freaked me out for a moment.
We then went back to the hostel at about 16:00 and i remember thinking how i couldn't believe it still hadn't got dark yet, because it felt like about 12 hours ago when i took the mushrooms, time seemed to be going really slow. I was really pleased to get back to the hostel cause it was nice and warm in there and i felt quite comfortable. It then occurred to me why taking mushrooms is referred to as a trip and not a high.
I then lay down on my bed and was just looking at the walls, they were breathing in and out and seemed to be getting closer to me and then further away, this seemed really cool. Then i put my music on again, and was just enjoying some of the visuals. The room we were in had lots of patterns painted on the walls and stuff, it looked like these were kind of melting down the walls, also the colours in the room seemed to be changing. We had a bunk bed in the room and my friend was on the bed on top of mine and he was moving about and the vibrations were moving through me and then ripples seemed like they were going through the room. My other 2 friends then lifted up my brothers bed from each side and started swinging my brothers bed from side to side as he lay down on it stoned. I though that looks like fun so then i got on the bed and they did it to me this felt really amazing like i was flying or something.
I then started to come down from my trip, and i just felt so good for the rest of the night and at about 7 or 8 when my trip was pretty much over we went out and smoke some weed, which bought a few of the effects back but overall it was just an amazing trip, that moment in the coffee shop was just the best moment of my life, i can't wait for my next trip which I'm sure will be pretty soon.

it sounds like you really knew what you were doing and had a great time. i hope you can have great experiences like that again.

I did a lot of research before i took the shrooms which i think helped a lot, and i had been reading the forums for about a month before we went so i had a good idea of what to expect and how to prevent a bad trip. I'm glad i did all that research before i took them and i think anyone trying them for the first time shoud also do the same and not take them without knowing much about them. I hope i can have some more great experiences like that again, and i'm just lookng forward to my next trip now.

Yeah 35g, they were fresh though so it's the equivalent to about 3.5g dry i guess.
