Enquiry. Rabbits have a vegetarian diet, and even eat their own shite when it is soft before redigesting it to get more nutes out of it. Would it be valid to use as a bulk substrate?

Great! The stuff I'm getting is the 'only once digested' which means it'll still have extra nutrients in it

yup, i tried it, it works fine. on a side not tho, they dont eat it for more nutes, they eat the first poo of the day to recycle intestinal flora, and this poo is called a cecotrope.

Eventually we jam a tube from a waterbong into it's mouth and figure he's learned all he needs to know.

Are there any teks regarding the use of rabbit manure, we have a rabbit, and have TONS of dried poo. While it may not be as good as H Poo, it is readily available for me, and would like to switch to poo casing over PF style jars, any add. info would be great, thnx guys.

ive never tried it. but if it does work. you need to make sure it has been leeched and dried. if there is allot of pee (ammonia) in it, it will not work at all.

I affirm the GREATNESS of outdoor aged rabbit poo...as good as Horse IMHO. I also am acquainted with a local marine biologist who is obsessed with human poo agriculture and though I have never been inclined to try it (that's just vile hon!) nor tested his blood for pathogens or parasites suffice to say - just because one can do a thing does not mean that it is ultimately advisable. But yup! Blessed are they who have the good rabbit poo!

So, basically, the rabbit poo that falls through the cage and collects underneath is just as good as horse poo? Has anyone tried it? I can get some primo rabbit pellet. I mean like show rabbit grade poo. The kind that get fed alfalfa pellets, and show food only. But, I can also get horse poo as well.

The oats are fine, but I can only manage 20lb of hay, do you think it will still be OK?
Rabbit poo is relatively high in nitrogen so should be good.

FWIW, many years ago the UK government piloted a test scheme where they pasteurised human excrement from their sewage plants and sold it back to the people that flushed it away for use as fertiliser. While it worked extroadinarily well, it was found that the fertiliser also contained viable seeds, which resulted in, amongst other things tomato plants cropping up in herbacious borders. Needless to say, the scheme was abandoned.
