 Growing Poppies Indoors

I have a whole load of poppy seeds left over from this summer but nothing to do with them. I have a fluorescent and 1000W HPS at home.
Would it be worth growing them indoors? I hear it takes hundreds of them to get any decent amount of opium. Would growing poppies indoors just be a waste of space?

Pretty much, If you just want them for the opium wait till the very end of winter and plant them they will grow good.

No, you can grow them inside as long as you have enough light. You should check out the persian whites, they skip the cabbage stage and go right to autoflowering. I've heard the only take two months.
