I probably wasn't specific enough in my last post. which was: okay. I only have a small space to work with. I'm making an incubator with the water, tuppaware, heater thing. then after that I only have enough room to make 2 poor man's terrariums. does anybody have any suggestions on how I could heat it without giving off a lot of light? would one of those portable heater things that glow orange when you plug them in work?
okay. I'm using the pf tek. and i meant like after i birth the cakes and put them into poor man's terrarium do you have any suggestions for a way that i could heat them? the cakes/terrarium and everything.

How cold is your house? Room temperature is what you want for fruiting cakes.

That's kinda a chilly house temp anyways. I'd just turn up the furnace or whatever your heating source is a touch.

please, christ, do not put anything that glows orange in your closet. unless you feel like burning down your house.
you only need your temps to be in the 70's (faren.)
with a minimal amount of heating, my house stays about 72.

I like to use a small heater (nothing that glows orange) with a digital thermometer. It automatically keeps the temp around 80, and I found the growth to be faster in that temp.
