 Frustrated Little Pixie

Hello all! Does anyone have any advice for me? Someone I care a lot about keeps blowing me off; I'm getting sick and tired of it, and yet, I can't help but to keep calling... My birthday is coming up, and two days before it, I get to have surgery! I have suspicions that this person doesn't remember, or worse, doesn't care about either... It makes my heart hurt; what would you all do in my situation?

Chill out dude. If they are really your friend, than shit will work out in the end. Mabey they are just going through some shit right now, and don't have time for socializing.
I have a friend who is incredibly anti-social, and i only see like once a month or two. This really bothered me for a while. I thought it was me, and i had done something inadvertantly to fuck up the friendship.
But if she dosen't like to be around people, that is her buisness. I will give her space.

I have been in your situation, Pixie, and I know how much it hurts, and how angry and baffled I was.
My best girlfriend, whom I had seen through her pregnancy while her husband was stationed in Iraq, blew me off as soon as he came home, and for a year afterward!
She would not return my calls, ignored my birthday, Christmas, etc...
For my own good, I had to let her go. I forgave her for making the choices I found so hurtful, and acknowledged to myself that I had nothing to do with her decision.
Life is too short to yearn after friends who do not show their love for you. Focus on those who DO show their love for you, and conserve your energy for loving them back! 
My best to you, and good health after your surgery.

Thank you for sharing your experiences, and kind words. It means a lot; Thanks to everyone else as well... I started taking my anti-depressant again, so that should help. I'm still a little hurt, confused, and mainly frustrated by my own insecurities... the mind can be such a little bitch sometimes. I had an awful day @ work yesterday, and I know that fed into my overall sour mood and ugly temper. I'm sorry for that; everyone. It's so nice to know I have such AWESOME people here @ the shroomery; you all need to know how special you are! Thanks everyone!
