Everytime I thought (which was a voice in my left ear, but not my voice) it was immediately contradicted by a voice in the right. I can't remember what it was all about, but that I was scared and the general tone of the conversation was about faith.

YESS!! Exactly what I was experiencing finally someone in the same boat. I heard strange things that dont make sense now but at the time they did. For example. "Theres not a bullet in the dark he dont know about, so tell me something, can you help me get closer to him?"
Yeah I'm not sure what that means either.

It means to me that you're trying to get closer to your true nature.

Left/right, yin yang...... duality.... I've experienced this two "voices" thing only it wasn't so deep that they were external, but rather I could tell that they were my thought processes... when I became completely baffled by something the other side kicked in to try and help me come to terms with it (the left side did).....

I get this on LSA + weed and its dumbfounding and very odd. You basically "uninvent" yourself, but you're still alive for some reason, even though you seem to positively feel that you and the world no longer exist. Then you gradually "invent yourself back together" as the trip wears off.

anyway, it's very important that you realize that all of this exists inside your own head. You found "God" inside of you, but "God" is just a PERSONIFICATION of something that humans cannot understand or explain. I'd say don't think of it like there's an actual God that controls things and makes things, etc... in the Christian sense... because what allows it to be a being?.... how does that make sense that this ONE being is somehow immune to death and rebirth, yet the rest of us aren't?

It makes sense that all beings, divine or otherwise, play by the same rules, and that there is no being above all other beings that can hold control and power over other's lifes.
