Hi! First off all, this is my first post, and I'm very sorry if there are some information I cannot provide. Alsso I'm very sorry if my english is bad, English is not my native language. Here goes.
I found a massive amount of these mushrooms that I suspect to be Psilocybe Semilanceata. They were found on my backyard, which is lawn, under and around a berry bush. I don't know what those berries are in english.
The mushrooms cap is light yellow, with slight browning on the lower section of the cap. The cap is conical, bell shaped in the younger mushrooms, and has an umbo at the top of the cap. In older mushrooms the cap opens up , and the edges of the cap get much darker brown. As does the entire cap. Most of the mushrooms I found are about 2.5 centimeters in diameter and about three centimeters tall in the young mushrooms in which the cap is still conical. The mushroom is not hairy at all.
I was not able to take a spore print.
The gills are very light brown in young mushrooms, but very dark brown in older ones. The gills are clearly visible on the upside of the cap and also very clearly visible on the inside of the cap. They are pretty close to eachother. Even in young specimens the gills are marginated darker
The stem is hollow, quite hard and breaks when bent. I was not able to wrap it around my finger. The stem is about 4-5 millimeters in diameter, depending of course on the age of the mushroom. In older mushrooms, when the cap has opened there is a visible dark ring around the stem, near the point where the stem attaches to the cap.
The smell of the mushroom is very basic mushroomy. I really can't describe it in any other way. The mushrooms feel rather slimy to touch, and they feel like they have a slimy membrane on them, but I wasn't able to extract one.. That may very well be due to the fact that I am not very experienced in hunting and handling mushrooms from the wild.

I'm taking a spore print now..
I'm very confused with this, because I did do a lot of research before posting, and half of the Semilanceata pics on the web look exactly like these, and the other half looks absolutely nothing like these.. Oh yeah! I'm in Finland BTW..
I've also been informed that the Semilanceatas can vary in looks very much, is this true?

Hmmm.. Active? Receiving mixed information around the web...
Also some people say it might be Panaeolus campanulatus?

its not, those people are wrong
and even if they were right (which they aren't even remotely)
panaeolus sphinctrinus is NOT active. anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong, and if they insist, send them here, see if they have the guts to stand up to the experts!
because most novices that take themselves half-seriously will be able to tell them that. so ignore what you read if it conflicts with general consensus here when it comes to activity.
no offence, just saying, if theres a conflict in information. PARTICULARLY about activity, the shroomery isnt gonna steer you wrong if you use it right. read the FAQ then ask around. youll be set straight by people with good reputations, find out who they are.
basically you shouldn't be trusting things you read on the internet. nobody should, but here im telling you straight up, and many educated people will back me up, panaeolus sphinctrinus is not active,
and even so, those are Coprinus micaceus.
