i was able to make my 1st liquid culture using honey.
First I gathered materials needed.
Baby bottle, Honey for shroom nutes, silicone sealant(to help sterilization) and a spare syringe for accuracy of measurements.Not pictured but needed is a marble or some type of stirring device that can be pc'ed.
Once possessing all these. I began with the top, needing the syringe to be able to extract and add spores to the honey water ration its needed for the nipple to be inverted as such
Inverting this nipple means its loose and has nothing but gravity holding it against the top. Time for silicone sealant.
Adding silicone to inside the inverted nipple means less contams due to the silicone healing needle holes.
For silicone to cure properly apply pressure to where you joined the nipple and top as such.
While waiting for the curing of the silicone its time to make the honey water mixture. I was working with a 250ml bottle so decided to make a ratio of.
192ml of water
8ml of honey
you can make as much of the mixture you want using any size container as long as you follow the 96%water 4%honey ratio. making sure I had the perfect amount I poured 200ml of water and with the spare syringe subtracted 8ml of water. (helpful Hint 1ml of water=1cc of water)
To add honey i poured 8ml of honey into the empty syringe from the top.
With honey in a syringe without a needle. I then inject that 8cc of honey into the baby bottle of water.
Stir mixture while still warm.
Finally with the marble in the baby bottle and the lid on (but not tight!) were ready to pc for 30-40 minutes in a inch of water.
Once pressure cooked for 30-40 minutes you must let it cool down while still inside the pc. Make sure not to change the bottle temp from hot to cool in a rapid way. examp. putting it in a refrigerator is a nono. In attempt to make my bottle cool faster i put it on my window sill. 10 minutes later the nipple popped into the bottle.
Once liquid has cooled down to room temp its time for inoculation. A sterile environment is key so use alcohol and Lysol liberally. Stick syringe in nipple and inject 1-2cc.
Incubate after inoculating to aid growth.

ok, questions about where to add sealant. do i add sealant to seal the edge of the inverted nipple to the band and to the nipple itself to act as a buffer that seals back every time u inject a needle into it? confused...goddamn even with pictures im a dumbass

I think so. it seemed that it was there not only to help reseal after you knocked upa 'nipple' but also to be abel to help grip the nipple and keep it inverted, which would mean it would have to be applied along the sides and onto the nipple itslef as well I believe.

I just put it underneath the lip of the nipple to keep it on the screw top.
