Homework
    #4851870 - 10/25/05 08:18 PM (2 years, 11 months ago)

Has anyone reached the point in their college career where you just can't handle homework anymore? Even if it's a major assignment, you still can't find a way to give it 100% effort? That's where I stand now. Kinda scary.

I know what you mean, I was at that point when I got into my trig class. Then my grade started plummeting quickly so I had to change my ways. I'm doing better now but I really hate doing this shit. After I get my research paper done, everything is pretty much down hill. Thank God.

They actually have a major called horticulture?

What is so neat about plants anyway? They don't do anything. They just sit there.

many things

alot of the shroomites favorite plants get the high and let then "expand" their minds.

most plants are just for show, but others have madicinal uses.

I took it because everything else seemed boring.

oh man im totally burning out on school. Like im capable of doing all this shit, and I know I could get A's in all my classes if I wanted to, but frankly, I just dont give a damn. I could kick myself for being a freeloader off my parents with my education and not giving it my all, but unfortunatly I am at a school I dont enjoy, in a field I only enjoy in theory, and not doing something I am anywhere near passionate about. Im just going to try to finish out my degree in a program where job opportunities are dwindling, pick up a minor in something I care for and hopefully finish it all in time to graduate in the spring of 2007

But best of luck to you and revamping your motivation!

And bellylard- I dont know if you've read it or not, I havent finished it myself, but I would recommend the secret life of plants to you.

I would also recommend it to you too looner, to maybe understand how people can become so amazed by plants, but you may not really enjoy and may even find it a bunch of crap. But theres always a possibility it may open that interest to you.

See man, you just have to think of it this way. I know exactly what youre talking about because i'm in the same exact situation as you. But...what other major responsibility do you have in your life right now? (You may have others, but I dont - i mooch of my parents) Just get it over with so you can look back and be like "Wow that sucked, btu I'm glad I did it". I'm going into Computer Engineering and having taken all these classes and getting in such depth, i'm starting to despise it. Its just like...wow i really dont give a shit anymore so I don't want to do anything. But I have to because (this may sound sad) I really don't serve any other purpose in my life right now other than educating myself. So dont give up, that should be the last thing on your mind. Stick with it man, I'm having to do the same.

Lol, I know what its like Void, it kinda sucks having this be basically the only meaning of my existence right now. At least when I do get out, I will actually have something to show for it (hopefully). Get a decent job and get a badass car. I noticed once you get in college, it seems almost impossible to fail out unless you just plain give up. Feels like I'm just being run through an education machine rather than actually studying anything. Oh well, I guess thats how its done in good ole America.

"Has anyone reached the point in their college career where you just can't handle homework anymore? Even if it's a major assignment, you still can't find a way to give it 100% effort? That's where I stand now. Kinda scary."

word yo. in HS i was all dedicated until the 2nd half of my junior year when i got an early case of senioritis. then in college i got all fired up again until the end of my sophmore year. now, i have 2 semesters to go (plus finishing this one out), and i couldn't give a shit about anything any more. i know what i have to keep my GPA at to graduate, and thats all. i failed the first test of my life the other week just because i am going to pass the class and i dont care about my grade in it. i could have got a hundred if i would have tried, but i just wanted to come home and go online. (i actually did get a 105 on the 2nd test in the class). when i was a freshman and all dedicated, i looked at seniors in my gen ed classes and saw how clownin they were and thought they were fucked up, but now i get it. school gets so old. its time to start making some money...

Yes, please copyright that. Get the word out, lol.
