* Habitat: Healthy green lawn, new, within the last couple years.
* Characteristics of the gills: brown, attached
* Characteristics of the stem: Hollow, most had a ring, looked dark blue. Color- yellowish white with a more golden brownish tone where bruised. The base had some blueing where it was connected to the mycelium. Texture- When torn apart its stringy and sometimes spiraled. Length- Anywhere from 1 1/2 inch to 4 inches.
* Characteristics of the cap: Color- A solid brown, darker than the caramel color cyans have. Turning a tan/buff color when dried. Size: 1/2 inch to about 1 1/2 inch. Pellicle- yes Shape- very similar to cyans
* Spore print color: waiting on that
* Color that the mushroom bruises: golden brown, faintly blue on some. Definatly a light blue at the base of some right when i picked them.
* Scent of the mushroom: They smell like any other mushroom i've smelled.
Thats all i can think of for now. I will update with a spore print asap.

that's a good description, but I'm reluctant to ID an LBM without a picture. sounds like you might have them though.
you don't have access to a scanner or anything?

Yea i don't blame you. Im pretty sure i have em, but without hunting them before its hard to be sure. Most of them are past their prime too, which doesn't help ID'ing from others pics.
No scanner that i know of, but i'll take a looksee.
Sporeprint is looking like purplebrown, but its still faint so im gonna let em sit for a few more hours and hopefully it'll be darker by then.

yes, WA. On the coastline. snohomish/island county area.
How brown are stuntzii's caps usually? On most the pics i've been finding they're kindof a light brown, but on these ones i found its a SOLID brown. like... hmm i dunno, maybe i can post a little pic of roughly the color they were. but its a solid brown.

I don't know how to describe it any better than the pics show it.

Its darker than those pics, though i must say im 99% sure these are the real deal. Right when i saw them i got that feeling, the caps were wavy/upturned and had a very cyanish look, just the caps were darker more solid brown, and the stems werent so solid white.
haha this is sad but heres my best copy of the color of the cap
Not all of them have the veil reminants, maybe half, but they were clustered together and looked identical. As i said they are older so perhaps thats why the veil isnt still there on a lot. Blue bruising at the base of some where the myc was on the stem.
Im sure enough these are stuntzii so im just going to ID them as so. I just wanted someone else to agree, but without pics its damn near impossible.
Oh, purple brown sporeprint too.
