possible WI state law to protect public breast-feeders
    #4788234 - 10/11/05 05:23 PM (3 years, 2 months ago)

It could be a fine to verbally assualt or harrass public breast feeders. Just saw this on the local news. One woman was interviewed, "i can go into a restaurant and eat or be fed in public, why cant my baby eat in public?"

Oh, I dont know....maybe cause I dont eat my Red Lobster all I can Eat Shrimp Platter out of some chick's cleavage?

Im shocked this needs to be brought into the law books. When I see a woman breastfeeding, i just do a double take and akwardly turn away. But, still, how much is it to just buy an over sized bib of some sort to give yourself and the people in your elevator some fricking privacy. Not every one wants to see that shit.

50 State Summary of Breastfeeding Laws

all nudity should be legal. if some people are disgusted or offended by a naked human body, or especially by something as natural as breast feeding, that's their problem.

how it should work is that if you don't want to see that sort of thing at red lobster, complain to the manager, and maybe he can change the restaurant policy. in the commons however, nudity is a go.

So am I allowed to pick crabs outta my asscrack hair in the middle of red lobster because its a natural bodily necessity? If you don't like it it is your problem!

It shouldn't be illegal to breastfeed in public but it is unconstitutional to limit ones freedom to verbally assualt some bitch who doesn't have the respect for others around her.

The most disturbing thing about this is that I can't tell her to get her flabby misshapen tits out of my soup. Now there's a free speech issue if I ever saw one. "Hey Brunhilda your flaccid torpedos are making me sick. Isn't there some architectural zoning issue being violated here?"
If Red Lobster can't pick only nice racks where the hell is the niteclub velvet rope going. Will they be forced to admit ugly people now. Ohhh the humanity.

what's wrong with masturbation? what's wrong with sex?

red lobster is a private business that is open to the public and they can certainly make their own rules about what flies on the premises and what doesn't.

if i want to make love with a woman in a public park, why not?

that's different because feces carries disease. taking a shit on the sidewalk should be prohibited for the same reason as taking a shit in a bucket and then dumping that on the sidewalk.

urinating in public however shouldn't be a problem.

LOL, exactly. you could be fined for not picking up after your dog when he craps in a public park, but no one seems to care about the dor pissing on the fire hydrant in front of my house.

Man, lighten up a bit. Christ the little babies have to eat. Would you rather see them go hungry?

Infants who are breast fed are more healthier than those who are bottle fed. There is very good medical reasons why breast feeding is a very good and smart choice to make.

Here in my state, the Governors office is starting a campaign to increase the number of new mothers who breast feed. I think that that is a good idea.

Don't let it bother you. It is all about preserving the species. :smirk:

Nice tatas should be required under an aesthetics clause

hmm, i guess my sarcasm was misunderstood. I am shocked a law to protect public breast feeders needs to be inacted. Im not shocked that women breastfeed in public. I have never seen a verbal confrontation between a breastfeeding mother and someone else. I wasnt aware that this was such an issue that it demanded legislative priorities. Most people, i assume, are like me...they see it and try to ignore it and give the mother some privacy. however, it cant be too hard for the mother to ensure her own privacy by using a bib or smock of some sort ( i know my sister does this.)
