Hay makes bigger shrooms,but this year i did NOT use any hay ok!
My LARGER piles have fruited as you can see that F+ pile looking a little bigger!

Back with my LARGER piles!!
See this pile on my shelf much bigger than the last piles.
Had a very good result with thin piles on the shelf this year!!
They flushed 4 times witch tells me they LIKE TO FRUIT FASTER!!!
Now the bigger piles were made to conserve moister and get bigger fruits?

first off poo is naturally pretty contam resistant, and second contams really only exist inside... they don't fare too well in the great outdoors. as soon as that sun hits it they're toast.
i'm not sure where it was but in another post someone stated 'toss a peice of bread outside and see if it gets moldy' something like that..
it just won't happen

SORRY MAN. Just as in my exp. before, B.kow only serves as a casing. Take a look at the method u r usin'. Coverin' the start of a casing basically. I have plenty of exp. with compost and dung. The way they colin. those ant the way they colin. casin' layer is very easy to see. This is a cool way but, it is only a casing method..........I like u and your postlou but, I have to say my results.

Just want to give my thanks to the shroomery. You guys have made it possible for me to see the world in a different light so to speak. i believe in you lou, me and my buddy are experimenting right now and so far no contams, nice and quick colonization, i have a question though do you add verm or coir at all to your Black Kow mix? it looked a little too thick for my liking so me n my bud are trying out both.

bluelou u krazy fucker. I am not tryin' to diss. post the spawn to bulk ratio. U use lots of spawn. The spawn ratio in your pics is very high like most cake casing pictorials. it works but, it is not bulk or the BEST. U can make better.I honor and respect u make no doubt.

ok i went out to a field the other night and we didnt find any shrooms. We think someone got there before us because we saw a footprint in a cow pattie. Well I saw a bunch of cow patties that had a lot of mycelium growing in them. Well could i take one of the cow patties and grow shrooms usign the food rap tek? I got a tray and put a black trashbag on the bottom. If i put a cow pattie in there then put the black trashbag over it until i see shrooms starting to grow then put the food rap over it would it work? or would shrooms not even come up

YES DO IT,very good it will work!!
No prob Em,as i said in many thread the use of HAY makes the biggest!
There are a few small things a really dont care for in the KOW stuff,sand,sand,sand.
When you get lazy picking lots of shrooms and dont break the butts off put in bags
the sand gets all over them oh well SHAKE AND EAT SHROOMS hahahahah hahaha!!

Just picked the last shroom of the year folks,be back next spring USING HAY MAYBE!!
MAn the first year i did the BULK TEKS i was the monster mushie man here with hay!!!!!
