Symbolic... by Death
There's a lot of metal albums that I will absolutely love, then get tired of after hearing five thousand times. But this one blows me away every time I listen to it.. even though I know every note, every tempo change, every word.. this is basically the template by which I judge all other metal.
If you don't know who Death was.. you should. They helped invent Death metal, but Death was unique.. jazz influenced and a technical proficiency unlike most. If I don't hear this album for six months or a year.. it's that much sweeter the next time I do. Yet I could listen to it everday and still jam out to it. I can't say enough good things about this album...I love it. Yes I love their other albums too.. but this one sticks out the most for me.

Finally! A Death fan! 
Wow, I actually have that album as well. You're right, I can constantly listen to it and never get bored. Infact, I'm going to listen to it, right now .
There are also some others that I can listen to all the time, and never get bored with.

Never heard of Death but I'll check them out.
I found this really good band "Eternal Tears of Sorrow" the other day. I guess they would be considered Metal but a little "softer" than Cannibal Corpse, SFU, and such.
The songs "Prophetian" and "The River Runs Frozen" are both really good.

first of all: fuck killswitch engage.
metal albums..
my current fav is Into Eternity - Buried in Oblivion
and as much as i hate lamb of gods new popularity, Ashes of the Wake fucking rules...
other than that..
anything by Opeth, Amorphis, Darkest Hour, Black Dahlia Murder(they rule), Suffocation, Hate Eternal (i recommend 'conquering the throne'), Between the Buried and Me, Dillinger Escape Plan.
i like metal....
but not as much as i like grain belt premium
