Let's create a list of fantastic psychadelic music similar to Shpongle for those of us that want to expand our music collections. I LOVE Shpongle and want to find similar music so what would you all recommend?
Edit: Also -- if your recommendation is hard to find or out of print, please do tell where one can find it.

Also check out The Mystery of the Yeti Parts 1 and 2 and the second album of The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences - chilled psy with a lot of Raja's flute lines (the first album, Feeling Weird, is a bit too trancey for my taste )

My favourite Shpongle album by far is Are You Shpongled?. I prefer the fungal/tribal/extraterrestrial vibes of Are You Shpongled? to its more trancey, a-flock-of-beeps style follow-ups

I haven't listened to psytrance in years, but here's some classic musicians/groups from that genre that I remember being really good:
- Anything by Simon Posford (the man behind Shpongle) including his famous Hallucinogen self-titled album.
- Anything by Oliver Lieb. His older stuff, pre-1998 is psytrance. After that he went on a progressive trance tip. Look him up on discogs.com, he released music under about 30 different names throughout his career. His stuff as Spicelab and Paragliders is especially psytrance-ey.
- Astral Projection, especially the Another World album
- Juno Reactor... Beyond the Infinite album particularly is a classic. My fave song of theirs ever is "Rotorblade"
- Just about anything else on the Blue Room Released label -- again, look it up on discogs.com. Lots of classic goa/psytrance stuff.

OTTs album Blumenkraft has given me 100% the same satisfaction as every Shpongle album. Almost shit my pants when I first heard some. The production quality is exactly the same blissful amazing brilliance as Shpongle. Try it, try it, try it, please.

Makyo..Deff try this..It is along the same lines as shulman.. As a few have said,Ott is awesome,Blumenkraft is one of my fav albums..Also try Hallucinogen in Dub,mixed by Ott. And Any of the other albums or artist anyone has mentioned. The two mystery of the yeti albums are good. And check out the spongle track called The Sixth Revelation, its on the album the mystery of the 13 crystal skulls. Also there is a track by a producer called Binah, the name of the track is Cresent suns,But alas this is also simon posfords doing..He is the god of psy trance and ambient psy,and raja cant get any beter on that flute.mmmmmmm
