you ever see Svankmajer's Punch and Judy? Brilliant, but I don't know if anyone should watch that while under the influence of a psychedelic.

Stan Brakhage flicks. Anticipation of the night is pretty wonderful. haven't yet dipped-in to the double disk DVD, but it looks promising. It has 'mothlight,' made by actually glueing moth wings to the physical strip of film.

Personally I think it depends on what you want from the trip while watching movies/tv or doing whatever you plan or not plan to do. But if ya want to have a very deep movie that was an awe for me off and on the doomies was "Donnie Darko." But if your looking for something maybe alittle off key and aiming at a comedic trip is "Death to Smoochie." There are TONS of movies/tv stuff out there though and Im sure not many have even dented it with tripping on the mind.I PERSONALLY always try to somewhat prepare myself or at least consider what I would watch/do on a couple basic rules per say. First, would this thing I choose to do have a chance of scaring me, or would I normally react in a negative response? Obviously I see anything that bothers me on a sober-like day might be heavily blown out of proportion possibly. And then two, I always consider current mood, other people involved/around, events planned, PERCEPTION, and other basic personality items that might effect me in anyway. If that sounds crazy. Sorry. I love movies on the come-up or comedown, but honestly, I find light from television annoying and distracting. I usually sit in the dark with music, smoking endless ganja and talk utter nonsense(makes the world better talk) with a friend during the peak. Sometimes, I'm unable to speak at all. TV or movies are hard to pay attention to for long periods of time, at least this seems to be the case for me.
Although, anything Disney, Cartoons or interesting documentaries go well with my trips. Really anything with awesome 3-D graphics, would be interesting to watch. You might be surprised at the variety movies that could put you in awe during a nice trip.

just watched war of the worlds (the new one) it's some ill ish. very visually stimulating. plus i find it amusing that the world goes to shit, and tom cruises punk kids keep talkin shit to em and stuff.

I think Naked Lunch and I Heart Huckabees are great suggestions. I'd also consider Existenz (like NL Directed by David Cronenberg). Actually any David Cronenberg movie including A History of Violence would be ideal for a trip. Cause if you don't have the mindset to concentrate on the film you can still check in every few minutes and see something that will peel the wallpaper of your mind. He's swell.
