I wish to utilize my 10 gal tank as a fruiting chamber for the colonized h/poo and straw substrates. Should I buy several small/medium sized baking pans for this? Then I want to put perlite/water in the bottom of the tank and place these trays on top of it, cover the tank with saran wrap, and turn the closet light on for 12 hours. Will this work as a fruiting chamber? Of course I will be following the other procedures up to and after the fruiting chamber but the chamber itself is what I'm unsure of.
Chamber sounds fine, lighting soudns good... you need to consider air excahnge and i know first hand that taking saran wrap off and attempting to put it on again gets tiresome and than you just end up wasting a ton of saran wrap.... read up on making a good cover or just go to LOWES and buy one of those huge clear airtight containers they have for like $10 than just add the perlite and water, some h202 1:9 (1part h202 to 9 parts water) and you should be good to go.... just like two to three times a day fan what ever you are using for your terranium.... Oh another thing to be considering is the temp its should be in the low 70's for good fruting... YodaBuds
