4cc's karo light
96cc's of warm water.
(double the recipy for larger jars)
stirr it up really good.
put a marble into the jar...to break up the mycelium later.
put your lid on. (referably a filter type lid)
pressure cook it for 20 to 30 mins at 15 psi.
after you are done pressure cooking the jar...let it cool down.

after it has cooled down inoculate with 1cc or 2cc's...from your spore syringe.
swirl the jar around a little to mix the spores into the karo water.
then put into your incubator...81 to 84 degrees F.


the jar will come out looking like this when it is colonized...

Thanks. I was searching for how much karo per water... its been a while and the old karo got contaminated...

does the karo mix with the water or float on top? i used a different brand od corn syrup and it's staying separated..

I did the baby bottle tek found here baby bottle tek the Karo mixed up in the water for me and it is working great,,,I then pced @ 15psi for 20 mins and shot it up with 2-3cc it looks great nice and white myc growing like mad

i also did the bottle tek but my corn syrup is not mixing with the water?? what gives? is it because it's not karo?? anyone else have this prob

i've knocked them up about 4 days ago... there is white fuzzy myc on the top layer(where the corn syrup is) and nothing in the bottem layer... which is about 95% of the solution

I've read somewhere on here about using honey in an LC. Has anyone tried that and had any luck at all?

Yes

I have used honey in the past with good results.

I switched to Karo because I had 3 bottles of it in my pantry.

We'll give it a try tonight. Just got some Lipa Yai spores in and I've heard great things about this strand. It'll be nice to have a jug of LC tiland in stock. lol
