This one jar had a spot near the bottom that was a bit clumpy from too much moisture in that one spot that collected at the jar's bottom. Not it's turned a yellowish-color. Is that just myc piss staining the moist area of BRF, or some mold growing?
It looked like this 12 hours ago, and hasn't seemd to grown since.
Thanks.

Looks to be wet spot to me...not a very problematic contam..usually biggest problem is colonization of the whole cake..but if it colonizes and that spot doesnt grow you should be able to remove it and use it however you like (spawn, case, fruit whatever). Usually I dont fuck to much with jars with problems, not usually worth my time, so you could toss it as well, if you got lots and dont care so much. Up to you on how much you want to try to save it..

Okay thanks. I just want to make sure it's not a harmful type (to humans that is). Also, does it spread to other jars? Should I toss it or just let it be?

I dont really know for sure about wet spot spreading, or how much it spreads. To me it seems the ONLY time I get it, is if the jar is crappy, be it the substrain or water content (almost ALWAYS only happens on jars that are to wet). I've used some stuff with wet spot for casings and as spawn and nothing ever happened to horrible, usually doesnt produce so well, thats about it though..never really seemed to spread.
