so i ake some chuck steaks, cut em into strips, brown em, remove them from the pan throw in a cup and a half of brown rice and half a chopped onion, brown the rice, add a can of stewed tomatoesand the meat, fill the pan halfway up with water, cover, let simmer.
Its still not quite right but its getting there...basically just trying to find something to do with chuck steaks, cuz they are so cheap....gonna have to marinade em next time, this time i seasoned them with black pepper and garlic before browning them, didn't quite do it.
Comments and suggestins welcome please

You need some chilli, some herbs and peppers thrown in there too, just something to pep it up a bit

If it comes out sticky, try rinsing the rice next time. My rice always came out real sticky until I started washing it first. Now its all nice and fluffy.

it was a little sticky, I'll try that....more than the stickiness was the starchiness though.

Shit, it's the best site for recipes ever. If I can't remember how to make something, my ass is on there in a heartbeat.

allrecipes.com is a good site to get an idea of how to make something, but I find many of their recipes to be lacking in finesse. some are good, though.
i dont cook beef much, but if i remember correctly, chuck steaks go well with green pepper and onion. in addition to your recipe, which could be good, you could try making a sandwich or something out of strips of steak and pepper and onion, and perhaps even scrambled egg or something. egg w/ peppers is good, as well as steak & eggs, so...

not neccissarily. paella has seafood most of time, and uses short grain rice; although true paella as they would have it in spain would have snails, rabbit and beans. Spanish rice is usually plain long grain flavored with tomatoes and sometimes saffron, like the stuff they have at taco bell.
