Large batch of ecstasy pills seized in Moscow

Employees of the Federal Service for Control Over the Trafficking of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Gosnarkokontrol) have seized about 11 kg of ecstasy pills in Moscow Region, according to a report by Russian RIA-Novosti news agency.
Three Russians and two citizens of an unspecified Baltic state were detained in the town of Dedovsk. A total of 41,500 pills of three colours, containing various quantities of MDMA (methylendioxymethamphetamine) and worth between 1m and 1.7m dollars on the black market, were seized, the agency said.
