 Lightbulb Vaporizer question (for those of you skilled with the device)

Hello. so i made myself a nice lightbulb vaporizer that looks like this:
so you see i have a long tube and a short tube. which should i inhale from?

The longer one, but be careful with that, light bulb glass is thin...

Is the shorter tube even necessary? it kinda is just getting in the way.

It's a carb, it allows air in so you can draw it out.

yeah, i figured a hole was necessary, but do you think the tube is too?
also if the glass does shatter, will it project outwards and possibly cut me?

Mine just has a hole in the middle of the cap, and a length of aquarium tubing coming out another hole. I dont want any plastic near the main heat, and if I were you I'd at least trim the one that goes way down to the bottom.
When you're using it, use a bic lighter or candle and dont let the flame touch the glass to avoid black deposits forming. Let it heat up until there's vapor, keep heating a bit but not too much or it will begin to combust (smoke). Then move your lighter away, and back and away as nescessary to keep vaporization happening. Make sure you shake the herb as you go to expose all surfaces to the hot lightbulb. Then when you are done inhaling, turn the lightbulb so the herb sits on a less heated surface of the bulb, and finish the remaining vapor. You're gonna love this little tool, I certainly have.

Very simply, actually. You unscrew the cap from the bulb, and put finely broken up herb inside. It will sit in the larger, sphere part of the bulb. Then the cap is screwed back on. The cap has one hole to let air into the bulb, and one for you to inhale from. You use a lighter to heat up the surface of the glass, and after about 4 seconds with a big lighter the heat conducted by the glass will be enough to boil the cannabinoids. This releases a healthy vapor containing all the goodies we are after when smoking into the bulb. You simply begin to inhale, and keep the glass at the right temperature for vaporization until you've had enough. You then rotate the bulb so the herb sits on a cooler surface of the glass. Repeat as nescessary!
