hey,
What are your thoughts on those who are self absorbed doing so because they love absorbing themselves in their own self love?
What about those who are self absorbed in the sense of just drowning in their own self hate and misery?
Is there a difference to be noted or worth discussing in your opinion? I'll hear from anyone on that.

same thing IMO, being self absorbed to the point of expousing your greatness to everyone you meet is no better or worse than doing so out of self hate and misery. I find most gothic high school kids in this latter part which is just as self absorbed as the former.

Interesting you mentioned that. I was going to start a post a bit back on the whole goth thing relative to their being the same thing they reject just in a different fashion.
I love this one, "I am expressing my indivduality from society". note how they all make themselves look the same as those in their goth societies" How is that any different then what the society they separate themselves from does? It's funny! People are funny. Thats one of the reasons I often enjoy just being the quiet observer. You get to see all this funny stuff.

I am egocentric and happliy admit it. I am a human and therefore flawed. Sometimes I enjoy being egocentric, at other times it shames me, but it is part of human nature to one degree or another. I accept that about myself in the hopes of betterment.
