Well let me say that it is true that overlay although not wanted, does not prevent fruits from fruiting. My first flush yielded was 120 grams wet. My question is...since my casing is overlayed..what do I have to do for that second flush?

I wouldnt scratch unless theres no primordia and pins..and even then I probably wouldnt. I'd add some casing mix to the top, but you can do more damage then good scratching when your new. Destroying energy your casing used to create primordia could hurt you in the end.
Often for a "light scratch" I use the hose on my kitchen sink..one of them sprayer things and spray down the top of the casing well, add a bit of h202 and let it sit and soak for 1-12 hours (less if no verm in the substrate, more if theres verm in the substrate). While adding water to the substrate, this also helps to wash away spores and all the loose stuff on the top, then you add enough casing mix to patch it all up. This has always worked great for me, scratching though, I believe was cause of the screwup for the few casings I did it to..flushes after the first were poorer on scratched ones when compared..
