My very simple glovebox made in less than 15 min. and under 10 bucks... as of now it is only a simple glovebox, however in a few weeks i'll upgrate it to a possitive pressure box
The red on the pvc couplings is from the marker i used to trace the holes... oh well

Eh, as air tight as it'll get, I mean i have to get the stuff in there somehow, but it'll prove to be more sterile than just doing g2g and innoculations in open air thats for sure

Let me guess you bought your shit from wal mart?
I have the exact same gloves and box. My design is a bit different i used dryer duct to make the glove sleeves longer and my holes are in the side not the lid.

do you think putting the gloves on the lid might have been a mistake? a lot of the ones I've seen posted don't... but what could the difference be....

Looks cool, I have an idea, to make absolute sure air is sterile, bring in a can of lysol and spray the shizzle out of that glove bizzle! ;-)
Then wait a few mins and do your innoc transfers etc, that should make it more sterile, correct?
Ima make one of those if it works, please report successs, etc back here, TY!

yea, that is my plan.... I'm not going to use Lysol tho... probably just spray Water/91% iso inside... or maybe oust... I'll have to see which works best.. and if anyone has any input on the matter please post... i could use it

You can cut a hole in one of the sides to place things in and out of your box, that way you don't have to re-spray with lysol every time you take the lid off. Very good start, got my supplies from wally world and home depot also. I used the PVC couplers also, complete with the radiator hose clamps to attach the gloves. My box resembles yours a bit, I did make mine a positive flow with the use of a computer fan and HEPA filter. I'll post you a pic, maybe it will help you out as you make modifications
Good Luck in your endeavors and keep us posted as to how your box works out. Good job. Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony. Hippie Chick

I like how you have your syringe mounted, that's pretty nifty... i was also thinking of using a computer fan and filter... I think i may just modify that tomorrow in fact. When powering the computer fans, did you just splice a Cord and connect the wires...?

No, believe it or not, I just attached the wires of the fan to two alligator clips and hook it up to a 6 volt battery. Have been running it for two months and still running. I got those syringe holders off one of my submersible fish tank heaters, works great. Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony. Hippie Chick

I call this glovebox: "Way too much time on my hands." The last several times I grew shrooms, I told myself "Next time, I'm gonna build a real glove box". So I did. It wasn't quick (about 2 weeks of weekends and evenings) or cheap (God knows) and it isn't easy to carry down to the basement for storage or back up again, but it sure does the job.
The bottom removes - I flip it over & unscrew these little chair leg coasters that double between being legs for the thing and attaching the bottom, in order to clean the interior. The two fans are 120mm computer fans which stated they required .25 amps. In my junk drawer, I found an old AC/DC adapter from an old Nintendo or something with a DC output of 500 milliamps. So I thought "Hey 2 X 25/100ths of an amp = half an amp, and 500/1000ths = half an amp too" so I wired both of the fans to the thing & plugged it in and they worked like a charm, so I incorporated them into the box. All the wiring is contained in Tupperware containers affixed to the inside of the box & well sealed.
You can barely see the switches on the left side of the box, but there are 3 of them; normal light switches. One for the light, one for the fans, and the last cuts power to an interior electrical outlet box. You can see the outlet box cover in the 2nd picture, but you can't see the outlets themselves because I bought some of those little plastic outlet covers people get to keep their toddlers from electrocuting themselves, and put little drawer knobs on a couple of them to make them easy to remove, and plug them into the outlets (unless I'm using them). You can see the knobs in the picture.
