 positive pressure glove box?

ok i made one of these today with a canning jar box, another box to put them in and a cheap hepa/ionizer from meijers.. will this $30 hepa be good enough to blow into my glove box,, im worried it says its 99.9% pure when running, but if i put a piece of tyveks over the out put it doesn't blow through it, what else could i use for another filter, or can i do with out.

I would recommend against even using a positive pressure glove box, you will have better results with still air.

Yeah, just lysol the air is what i do, works excellent for g2g and agar work.

Sorry man, I almost forgot ya.
The filter is made Holmes and the fan is a 4" 85cfm from Radioshack. I have to use this because i live in the woods were trich is thick. If you don't live in a trich abundant enviroment, I wouldn't worry with it. A regular gloove box works fine.

That glove box looks nice, besides the no gloves thing.
I might have to build me one like that. When I use lysol to sterilize the air in my glove box, and light a lighter in there within a half hour of spraying I will get a small explosion from the fumes.

It's works out pretty good. The key to having it work out effective is, do not use any screws or duct tape. Just use Liquid Nails to apply the filter and motor and then put a smooth bead around each part after they have set up from the mounting. It's easy. It cost around $45 to build. I got so much - feedback from others that it wasn't going to work that I did a trich experiment with another. No contamination with an opened agar plate inside.

ok instead of liguid nail can i use hot glue, dont see why not, my hepas got a filter like that how could i hook it up, so i can use the ionizer 2.

Hot glue gets brittle after it cools and you may have something pop off at a real innopportune time when an elbow hits it. I'd stick with the liquid nails or get a tube of gorilla glue. Look in the paint section of Wal-Mart or go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
