Cyanescens Wont be back until the fall. Blue ringers can grow throughout the year but I doubt any would be out right now with these 9 days of straight sun. Do you go to the college up there shyshroom?

too cold and dry right now, I'd say.
the other species in WA are listed in the FAQ, a few grow in the spring/summer.

Instructions:
1) Wait for rain 2) Walk outside of where you live 3) Find mushrooms or not 4) Post interesting pics if you find anything.
Trust me, this is great advice and you will be rewarded!

You hate Washington? You poor fool, if only you knew of how many mushroom hunters envy the PNW. You might be able to walk out to a cow pasture in TX and pick a plentiful amount of Cubensis, but in the fall here in WA you can walk outside and pick plentiful amounts of Cyanescens, which of course are more potent than your beloved Cubensis

Do a "search posts" from last spring. This place is an on going conversation; if you want to know what can be found in the spring, then look at what people were finding last spring. Or wait a little while and you will see what we are finding this spring.

Nothing wrong with Washingon. Basically a lot like Oregon where I'm at.
See photos in my albums in link below. Some of Oregon, a few of Washington. Shroom photos are in the forest floor album. Most images from the Oregon coast and that coast range last fall / winter.

Gilbert said,

Well Gilbert, we have 18 varieties of magic mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington and British Colombia), inlcuding San Francisco all the way to B.C.
7 of those 18 specis are common and abundant right in major cities on streets where one may live. They fruit from the mid summer to the late fall into January. We also have spring shroms, twe Conocybe species and Panaeolus subbalteatus which fruit from January through the early fall months.
In Texas you only have two species, Psilocybe cubensis and Copelandia cyanescens.
So much for Texas.
mj
And our mushrooms in the PNW grow right down the streets where people live, in public parks and around office buildings and restaurants.
We do not need to go to fields and get tickets for trespassing to pick shrooms. Our shrooms grow out of soil and grassy areas, not directly from manure like Texas shrooms. They love woodchips and bark mulch and decayed woody debris, lawns and manured pasturelands or fertilized grassy areas but never directly from manure.
So keep your Texas Cubes and Copes.
Our 18 PNW varieties are enough for us.

well, if you know where to look, the Cyanescen season is DEFINITELY plentiful
I agree though, you guys have a much more extended season in Texas, which is really cool.

The defense rests.
Although I must say, I really only need one of those 18 varieties haha but hey, it's nice to have options.
