just a thought, but given all the threads about white rice, mabye there is somewhere this could be archeived under the heading "what not to do"

thats not a bad idea... if we can get a couple of people to try the same thing
with different strains we may have a chance to learn something new from our little brown buddies

i got 3 1/2 pints of brown rice (using 50/50coffee tek) like 80%colonized with B+...lookin good after its all done ill have my log up.

mmm what about adding a nutrient?
use the rice as an alt. for verm. and say, cocoa powder as an alt. for brf...?
maybe honey water instead of regular water...
would this make a good experiment?

What's a verm cap?
That looks like a pretty easy way to grow it. Since my mycobag got contaminated and I don't want to drop another $30, I'm looking for a relatively simple alternative to give a shot.

verm cap- dry verm on top of substrate while in jar
and if you do this, use BROWN RICE, not white rice, if you use white you will grow shitty shrooms
