Figured I'd just add a little comment for setting up the shelving to simplify for people.
At Home Depot they have 6'x16" pieces of closet shelving for about $7 each. Have someone cut two of these in half (it's free) and you have 4 shelves that fit PERFECTLY inside Martha (dunno about the portable version tho). All you need to do to rig them is get 4 pieces of strong chain cut ~6' long, which will probably run ~.30/ft. Link everything with thick keyrings as shown in the images.
Note in the photos that the two top plastic brackets where the frame connects are flipped upside down so you have a good support to loop the chain around.
This might be obvious, but it's probably the most efficient way to use the space in Martha. Hope it helps...

Megash,
I am getting ready to give this a shot. I picked up a cool mist at a thrift store for $2 (and tested it) (I also got 24 pint jars, a coffee grinder, and a 1.7 cf fridge for less that 50 total! I had a good day!)
Can you get by with just a cool mist or should you have both the cool mist and the ultra sonic?
What is the run time on the cool mist? 24/7 or do you have a timer on it? (If an ultra sonic is needed what are the run times on it?)
I think I have the rest of it figured out. Ill make a run to lowes tomorrow to pick up the rest of the stuff

You should have both. Cool mist runs 24/7 the ultrasonic come's on every 2 hrs for 15 min but it's gonna very according to where you live.

Cisole, Walmart and thrift stores are where I got mime.
Megash, I thought I would post a change I made to the design.
I took a piece of Plexiglass and cut a 6" long x 3" wide piece. I drilled 2 1" holes in it and clamped it to the top plastic cross member. I then drilled 2 pilot hole through it and the cross member. Put a little silicon adhesive on it and screwed it into place. I then taped and cut the holes in the side for the hoses and put the mounts (Same as the ones you used) through the tape, plastic side, and through the hole in the mount. This way there weight is better supported and if you pull on them (Or the dog, cat, or toddler pules on them) they do not damage the system.
Oh and it appears to maintain a 92%+ RH using just the cool mist. (Local RH is 50% I am sure as the RH locally drops the RH in the fruit chamber will need more to keep up) I am waiting on the silicon on the ultra sonic to dry.
Thanks for a great design of a good working system.

Ok, one last question. What type of glue is holding the hose connectors to the cool mist and the ultrasonic?
I tried using liquid nails, but the 1" hoses aren't that flexible and pull the connectors right off. I bet JB Weld would work.

Epoxy is about the strongest glue ever made, and would work well. Model airplane glue would also make a good choice, it actually melts the plastics together.

There is no glue. I want stuff easy to pull apart for cleaning. The fittings just screw onto the humidifiers and the hoses just slide over the pieces tightly.

i have that same humidifier and i found that there is a certain size of gatoraid bottle that has a top on it that fits like a champ. big pro being that you can unscrew the top with the hose in it and change things around.

you could use two part epoxy glue. can be found at hardware store. It generally comes in a syringe type applicator that when the plunger is depressed it will force mix the epoxy in the tip. or you can get the type that you mix by hand. the latter has less fumes. Very strong bond and hardens up with generally no Oder.
