My tuba teacher, innoculated 20 jars of rice, manure, and verm; 10 with the albino strain and 10 with the b+ strain. Like always the alb. strain started germinating in like 3 days. on the 5th day... a couple of mycelium spots started showing up on the B+ but also with a Brilliant Red tint on some of the rice grains. Any Idea what this is and should I attempt to get a culture out of them or should I consider them a loss.

red shite showed up in my first batch of B+ - none in the second, so i assumed it was a nasty and chucked 'em...
