 H2O2 in casing misting

how much hydrogen peroxide should i mix with the water im misting onto my casings? ive got green, primordia things growing in one corner. im cutting those out, but how much and how often on the peroxide mixture?thanks, MiAstoR

a ratio of 5:1 water to h202. i think you just have to take out the contam and give a really good spraying.
i may, fucking drop something natural somewhere and it might grow into another piece of shit like you. i dont recognize any of you fucking people, youre not real, you came out of comic books.

What does mixing in hydrogen proxide do? I have not heard of this before.

It can kill some contams and does not harm the mycelium. The most common contaminant on 50/50 casings seems to be green mold. H2O2 doesn't seem to bother green mold. Using some form of chemical lime in the casing mix will bump up the ph and help prevent green mold. Treating green mold with a water/lime solution has worked well for some people, I have yet to try it.

A 5:1 water to peroxide ratio will be fine. And Headshok, you really need to leave this message board if you're going to keep looking for flame wars.

The peroxide will kill all bacteria and spores it comes in contact with. Any mycelium will be unharmed, mushroom or mold. Its a preventative measure, not a cure.
