Cloning question

My friend was hoping to increase his yeild of shrooms on his casings and thought he would try to isolate a good fruiting sector on agar,he decided to clone from a stem of his favorite strain of P.cubensis..His question is,is there anything to gain by sectoring a clone,or is it already a pure strain since it is a clone? I hope I made that clear enough..

Most times a clone doesn?t sector, but if, choose the most ropey sector.

In theory, a clone is a mass of cells that are all genetically identical. You may have sectors of clonal material that degenerate and don't look uniform. That's why Anno suggests cutting out the rhizomorphic pieces.
