i think he is talking about software to read out thermal/humidity probes, analyse them and power up humification or heating devices.
the thing u most likely forgot is $$$ computer probes, thermal/humidity probes are not cheap and so is the other hardware u will need in order to turn the signal into computeable data.
way cheaper to buy a normal hygrometer and figure out a proper humification cycle. peace ohm

I have a 30 kit that has 4 temp probes CPU, HDD1, HDD2 and SYS then it displays the temps on the front of my PC.
So the temp probes are cheap and it is not that hard to get ahold of a rh reader... and its not really that complex to get something to read the signal and then send it to a puter.
I'm sure there are kits on Internet somewhere
Good Luck!
P.S, you may want to use the search feature and look for Computer Automated, fully automated etc...

Shit I went on and on about the hardware... The software you will prolly have to wright your self. Visual Basic is a suggested language to wright the software in.

poke smot has a nasty set-up, if u search for "computer automation" i think you'll find the thread.
-------------------- "A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Wow, what are the odds that this would pop up. I was reading the enitre computer automation thread and it just ended like out of nowhere. No direct final conclusion. The thread just died. Within the time that I read that I got onto advanced cultivation and someone had writing on a similar topic. What happened to computer automation it was so enticing. Anybody have more information to the projects end. poke smot?

this is "the next step" dunno if you read this one.
this is also some really good pics and info on poke smots setup
and here is a faq on automation
hope this is enough, if not search "automation" in the past 5 years, it comes up with some stuff i listed, but most is covered by poke smot's setup and the faq.
