I've switched from IE, which was loaded with problems, to Firefox, which I have really only had one with. This is, when I close Firefox, and then open it again later, it won't open. It'll just pretend to load and nothing will happen. I ctrl+alt+delete, which brings me to Task Manager (I have XP) and go to Processes and close FIREFOX.EXE, and then I am able to open it again, but it really is a pain in the ass to have to go to Task Manager every time I want to open Firefox. Has anyone else had a problem like this, or know any way to fix it?

I installed it over a month ago I believe, and restarted it a few times since then. It hasn't always worked like this though, it just started doing it recently

uninstall delete your profile re-install
if it continues, it has nothing to do with firefox.

Actually, I started to fuck around randomly with it, because that's how I tend to fix things, and it wanted me to create a new profile, so I did. Then I realized I had lost all my bookmarks, so I spent another 20 minutes figuring out how to get them back, and after fucking it up it works fine again
I could almost do this for money
