i used to go to a place called the jerk house alot. they had the best deals, red beans and rice, a couple johnny cakes and a hefty serving of jerk chicken or jerk pork for cheap. all made on a huge smoky ass grill right there in front of you. it was a pretty crude little setup...basically just a little booth type shack for you to pay and order and some picnic tables under some trees. that's when i lived in cuba...there were alot of jamaican contractors there and i knew a bunch of them. it's actually a real simple mix of a few spices. i knew one of the guys that worked there, he was pretty cool. i asked him how i could make some at home and he gave me 2 little bottles of these spices. i have tried alot of different mixes but these ones taste the most authentic and most flavorful to me. most others are too much cinnamon or nutmeg or just too sweet. these are perfect and straight from jamaica too..

the all purpose bottle is good if you're not used to real spicy jerk. it's kind of like a medium spiciness jerk seasoning. real jerk chicken or pork is real spicy though...i use a little of both bottles.
they have the ingredients on there too if you want to try making your own. it really is a simple mix of just basic spices, but it's kind of hard to get it right. so you might not have to order, but this is a great blend.

Got a question about a substance? Erowid might already have your answer! Have questions about the mushroom experience? The Tripper's FAQ may have your answer or someone else might have had your question before.

Its all about using the most nuclear chillies you can find. Scotch bonnets or hobanjyeros.

Googled this a few weeks ago, and this is my version of one I found...
1/2 c Ground allspice 1/2 c Brown sugar 8 Cloves of garlic 4-6 Habanero peppers 1T Ground thyme 2 Bunches of Green Onion 1t Cinnamon 1/2t Nutmeg 50%/50% Soy Sauce/Olive Oil(enough to get it the consistency you want) I usually go with 1-2T of each.
Put it all in a food processor and mix it up good. Marinate whatever.

I LOVE them types of places..
I havnt mentioned the Burito trucks here in California for a while but DAMN they are good..
For $3 you can get a 1.5lb burito filled with everything.
Ive been to every little shack of a restaurant within 20 minutes of my work and Ive now picked my favorites that I go to weekly.
One is a little teriaki place with the best burgers around.. Another is a French Dip place thats propably about 400Sq feet and has been selling pot roast samiches for 80 years... Both kick sooo much ass it makes me want to open myself a place just like them.
