Yeah. The other two are little bombs. They all have a hemo/meuro toxin mix. Id actually rather be bitten by my gaboon rather than these.

haha no worries man. id rather a gaboon too...chances are it will be a hand bite and tehres at least a better chance of the fangs going through instead of in....can hope anyway
one of my friends was taking his baby gaboon out to get me to force feed it (man i get nervous!), his phone rang he loosened up and took a slice out of his sleeve. fuck we were both shaking the remainder of the day...so damn fast its unreal!

Well a rattlesnake is a viper. Really it depends on the species of rattler. The mojave is rattler is highly venomous, but the venom of a russel's viper will kill you easily in half an hour!

in generall i would probably say non rattler venom is worse in the more commonly kept species. personal opinion, seems to vary from every person you talk to. it also effects every person differently.
you got any crots kinderfeld?

That is crazy you guys own a viper, let alone handle one.
I saw on the hospital channel a guy who got bite by a rattlesnake in the hand.... it was the crazy. He puffed up all over, looke to be in horrible pain. The worst part were his legs... he kept getting wave after wave, actually more like ripples of muscle spasms going up and down. His legs literally looked like an ocean. Ouch.

The ripples are caused by the neurotoxin and the swelling from the hemotoxins. That reminds me of a bite victim I've had to treat. She was bitten by a boomslang. Her skin was litterally sloughing off.
