you guys can unsticky my thread i think everyone has seen it....im off to go get my stuff taken care of...probably gonna end up sleeping over at the hospital for a few nights..i'll be back  i hope i get some cool drugs

If I have any say in it (my vote) John Kerry will be in office.
You just worry about getting better. I look forward to hearing how you came through this all 10x better than they expected and 20x more fucked up on them pain relievers.

This is very true. After living thru 2 trips to the meat table. I learned always strech the truth on the pain. They assume your streching the truth. So S t r e c h it. You thank us later not just because of the buzz but because of the NO PAIN factor.

I have a friend who needed most of his large intestine removed (ulcerative cholitis). While he was staying in the hospital for a few days after they kept asking him "on a scale of 1 to 10 how much pain are you in?". My friend, being the bonehead he is, figured he shouldn't show how much pain he was in. Some kind of machismo thing, I guess. Finally on the third day of saying 4 the nurse made a comment and he gave up and said 8. Straight to the morphine drip, after that
I think he learned his lesson.

Last time I had surgery, the nurse asked scale of 1-10, I said 8 first time, she came back few minutes later, I said 8 again and it just made me "feel warm" even though I was so wicked high and in no pain at all. She put more fent thru the IV and asked if I felt better, so I asked, "Why, did you do something?"
Man I was so fucked up. I got home and looked at my oxys and asked myself why bother?
