Here is one study, if you want i can also talk about another study that prooves that a subliminal message conditions us for a period of 2 weeks.
1)Joel Weinberger, from the university of Adelphi, wanted to see if subliminal messages such as thr Rats one by Bush had any effect on people. He answered affirmatively. The psychologist came up with a ficive ad of an electoral campaign, and succesively showed that the subliminal broadcasting of the word "Rats" was in fact susceptible of increasing the negative jugements towards the aimed candidate. These results are a follow up on neuro-imagery studies conducted by Professor Stanislas Dehane in 1998, who affirmed that the part of the brain that is used to handle such subliminal messages isn't limited to the zones implied in the sensorial process: studies done with RIM show that these messages are dealt by the brain in a global manner, just like if they were perceived consciously, with full awareness.
So according to all of this, the debate isn't about whether or not subliminal messages have effects on people. The effects are real! Now it's about determining the span of the repercussions on the spectator.

which journals were those studies published in?
I cant really evaluate a study without knowing the method
how did Weinberger determine that his results were the effect of his independant variable, and not some confounding variable like pre-existing political bias in the subject?

Actually, i dunno. But for what reason would Bush use such subliminal messages if they didn't work. For the fun of it?

quit being such a conspiracy theorist. when the world is on the brink of ENDING and it seems that there is absolutely no hope at all, youre outnumbered, lots of your loved ones are dead and your immediately RIPPED out of your everyday life what is the last thing you got to try and keep you sane? prayer.
the reason it was "muslims" (or may very well have been hindus) praying is because it would be a lot easier to distinguish what they're doing kneeling on the ground dressed in religious atire and in front of a shrine/knelt on cushions aside from your standard typical-dressed christian kneeling on the altar doing his 10 second prayer.
and yes i realize im using run on sentences , im tired.

I disagree.
It's probably there to put the relation between muslims and destruction in the minds of Americans in a time of war. Sick, but probably true IMO. After 9/11 most Americans seem to hold grudges against the entire muslim nationality due to the typical American close-mindedness. Bush and his supporters have constantly played off this fact.
