its real simple! My finnish grandma taught me to when i was a wee little one and i knitted a cool scarf. I probably wouldn't be a help to you now though

Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated than that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.

i dont know what the hell i am doing wrong-- i have been trying to do this all day, and i must be doing something wrong, because i cannot do the 'knitting' part. i have the row on the needle okay, but when i start knitting i do about 4 stitches and my needles are so tight i cant move them. i have looked online for hours and i cannot find out what i am doing wrong.
*upset*
ironically, i had a horrible week and a TERRIBLE yesterday, so i decided to knit for stress relief. not being able to do it after speding all day on it is not stress relief. : P

Don't be upset, knitting is relaxing! I've done some simple knitting, so maybe I can help a bit. Don't pull your stitches so tightly. Each time you wrap the yarn around the needle, tug it a bit to loosen it. Keep your hands loose and don't work so tightly, you'll stress out your little fingers! One of the hardest parts in knitting is getting even stitches. It just takes a lot of practice!
Here is a site that I like. If I can answer any specific questions, feel free to pm me
Good luck!
http://www.vogueknitting.com/tech/knit/knit.html Go down to 'making a knit stich.' After you've done step four and you pull your new stich off of your left needle, just gently tug on the yarn to loosen it between the two needles.
