Watching the news over the last week they have made a big deal about some states having early voting this year. They've been making a big deal about Florida and a few other states and how this is a 'new' thing....
....funny, we've had early voting in Nevada for a long time (they started doing it here in mid-90's I think). But I didn't hear Nevada mentioned once in all the news coverage. And we are considered a swing-state this year. Granted, its only 5 electoral votes, but every vote matters in a year like this.
Anyway, I cast my ballot today. I don't always participate in early voting but this year I knew it was gonna be hard for me on election day to get to the polls at a decent hour. And with the expected voter turnout this year (larger than in the past) I didn't want to deal with the lines on election day.
So my voice has been heard....don't let your chance to vote slip by. Otherwise you'll be kicking yourself on November 3rd!

Yes please do get out and vote. I disagree with most other people that frequent the political forum, but I think we all agree that voting is important.
I'm voting for kerry cause I want bush to get fired.
