 quick question cultivators..

Hey i know i could probly search and find this but i'm already in the middle of it and trying to do other shit to so maybe someone could help me out with a quick question.
I'm cooking some straw on the stove in a big ass pot, i got it to 168 degrees or so. My question is this... How long do i leave it? Thanks guys!

If I remember correctly you need to do it around 45 minutes to an hour. Are you doing an outdoor grow??

A big pot should go at least and hourish almost an hour and a halfish. Then let it cool in the pot a while before draining. The longer the safer and better. Did you presoke the night before?

No, all the posts i read so you don't need to do that with straw because your not trying to germinate endo spores before sterilizing like for WBS for instance.

U do want to germenate endospores first. You arnt sterelizing you are pasturising, That means you wanna just kill the molds and fungi leaving beneficial bacterias. To awaken these molds and fungi you need to sprout them from there dormant hard shelled state with a soaking. That then makes them more open to being killed with pasteurization.

165 for 45-60 minutes.
add a little lime and bleach in there for good measure.

if you're doing straw, I highly reccommend the straw logs.
straw logs in combination with the lime/bleach tek makes
for a nearly contam proof incubation period and INSANE
fruits.
